We’re excited to announce that new firmware for the Float Pro is now live! Version 1.1 includes an important bug fix as well as two new features designed to improve your brewing experience:
- Proper handling of negative temperature readings
- A setup mode available in your preferred language:

- Automatic storage of measurements, even when Wi-Fi is unavailable
To learn more about these improvements and how to install the update, keep reading!
🗣Float Pro Setup Interface in Your Language
When you place the Float Pro in SETUP MODE, it creates its own Wi-Fi network. For more information about setup mode, please refer to the manual📖.
Once the network is available, simply connect to it using your mobile device. After connecting, you will automatically be directed to the Float Pro setup screen.
From there, you can select your preferred language.🌎
💾Store Readings — Maximum Data Availability
In addition to the language improvements, Float Pro now stores readings locally when Wi-Fi is not available. As a result, you can continue monitoring your fermentation without worrying about temporary connectivity issues.
For example, if your Wi-Fi connection is interrupted (who trusts Wi-Fi completely right?), the Float Pro will continue recording measurements. Then, as soon as it reconnects to the network, all stored data will be automatically uploaded to the platform.
Furthermore, we’ve designed an efficient storage strategy that allows the Float Pro to retain up to 170 days of data.
💡How to Get the Most Out of This Feature
To ensure optimal performance, please keep the following recommendations in mind:
- 🔋Make sure the Float Pro is fully charged before starting a fermentation.
This will help in keeping track of time properly and makes sure that your Float Pro will store the entire fermentation. - 🛠️Create a fermentation on the myBrewbrain platform to distinct between measurements.
- 🚀Make sure you send data to the platform before charging or turning off the Float Pro: this ensures correct time keeping.
Enjoy brewing! 🍻
