Stop guessing, start tracking your fermentation precisely

Don’t rely on occasional hydrometer readings. Every time you open your fermenter you risk contamination and add oxygen to the fermentation tank.

Float Pro digital hydrometer continuously measures your fermentation, without opening your fermenter.

  • Continuous gravity and temperature measurements
  • Automated graph of fermentation curve
  • You won’t miss important fermentation changes
  • You’ll know when fermentation has finished
  • You have a track record of every fermentation

If you’re new to brewing or testing recipes for your professional brewery; Float Pro is the digital hydrometer for you.

Why track fermentation continuously?

Continuous tracking lets you see detailed changes during all the stages of fermentation, giving you full insight and control over your brew.

Understand your fermentation – watch real time density and temperature changes and see exactly what’s happening in each stage.

Optimize recipes – continuous data lets you make adjustments if needed. Compare batches and refine your brews with real data.

Brew with confidence – know exactly when fermentation is done without opening your fermenter.

Frequently asked questions

Can Float Pro digital hydrometer be used for fermenting under pressure

Yes. The Brewbrain Float Pro is designed with a high-quality housing and customized seal. This ensures a watertight housing even when fermenting under pressure, making it suitable for modern brewing setups.

The Float Pro operates reliably during pressure fermentation up to +2 bar, while continuing to measure and transmit fermentation data such as gravity and temperature.

Does Float Pro integrate with Brewfather?

Yes. The Brewbrain Float Pro can connect to Brewfather through the My Brewbrain platform.

The Float Pro automatically sends fermentation data—such as gravity and temperature—to the My Brewbrain platform, which can then share this data directly with Brewfather. This allows you to monitor your fermentation progress inside your Brewfather brewing dashboard.

In addition to Brewfather, the Float Pro also integrates with other brewing platforms, including Grainfather and several third-party brewing tools.

All integrations are available free of charge, so you can connect your Float Pro to your preferred brewing software without any additional subscription fees.

Will Float Pro work in stainless steel fermenters?

Yes, Float Pro can send measurements even when used in a stainless steel fermenter inside a fridge.

How accurate is Float Pro?

The Brewbrain Float Pro measures specific gravity with an accuracy of ±0.006 SG.

While this level of accuracy is suitable for fermentation monitoring, the real strength of the Float Pro is the continuous measurements it takes throughout fermentation. With a traditional hydrometer you take a few manual readings, but the Float Pro automatically records far more measurements over time.

With continuous measurements, a clear fermentation curve is plotted, that allows brewers to see relative changes in gravity, which is useful for:

  • Tracking fermentation progress

  • Determining when fermentation has finished

  • Detecting issues such as yeast not starting or a stalled fermentation

Does Float Pro support different measurement units?

Yes. Float Pro supports the following units:

  • Gravity:
    • SG
    • Plato (°P)
    • Brix (°Brix)
    • Oechsle (°Oe)
    • Baumé (Be°)
    • Klosterneuburger Mostwaage (KMW/Babo)
  • Temperature:
    • Celcius (°C)
    • Fahrenheid (°F)
    • Kelvin (K)

You can set the units in the My Brewbrain Platform.
